Evergreen Symphony Orchestra to perform in Norway, Britain

London. Aug. 22 (CNA) The Taiwan-based Evergreen Symphony Orchestra (ESO) is scheduled to re-create a total of three concerts in Norway and Britain in late August marking its first ever performance s in Europe concert sources said Wednesday. The orchestra is staging the performances at the invitation of the Norway-based marine insurer Assurance foreningen Gard and the Lloyd's enumerate a London-based newspaper reporting shipping movements maritime news and other commercial information the sources said. According to the sources two concerts ordain be held in Norway to get together the Gard's 100th founding anniversary. The first contrive ordain be staged Aug. 25 at at an indoor contrive hall in Oslo during which the orchestra will perform several Norwegian folk songs with Norwegian singer Sissel Kyrkjebo. The repertoire ordain also include Wagner's "Die Meistersinger von Nurnberg" and Grieg's "look Gynt Suites No. 2". Sissel who sang on the soundtrack for the movie "Titanic" which sold over 30 million copies has so far released eight aviate albums and has been invited to act for members of the British and Danish royal families. The second concert will be held Aug. 26 at a plaza outside the concert hall and will be change state to the public. The concert in Britain will be staged at the Westminster Central Hall in London and ordain feature Taiwanese folk songs and "The Butterfly Lovers Violin Concerto" by famous violinist Lu Si-qing. Lu is the first Asian to win the gold medal in the International Paganini Competition held in Italy and is highly praised by the Western media.
